Tales from Siam & the Magic of Slow Creation

I've been working on some very new ideas lately—and because the process is newer territory for me, they're taking a very long time. Years, actually.

Lately, I've been thinking about that quiet stretch between the spark of an idea and the moment it's ready to meet the world. I'm deep in that in-between space right now, working on new handcrafted fine jewelry pieces and directions I've been dreaming about for years. Some of these ideas have lived in my sketchbooks, my thoughts, and my heart for longer than I can remember. I've been actively shaping them for years… and yet, they're not quite ready.

The Courage to Create Authentically

In a world that demands speed and instant gratification, it takes genuine bravery to slow down and remain authentic. This got me thinking about authenticity itself—why does society often frown upon it in business, yet celebrate it so deeply within the arts?

As both an artist and business owner, I constantly feel the tension between these roles. There's relentless pressure to move quickly, to smooth over any creative bumps, to produce constantly—new collections, fresh launches, endless content. More, more, more. But as an artist creating storytelling jewelry, I feel a deep pull toward patience, toward doing things not just "right" but genuinely, from the heart.

I think about authors like Tolkien, who spent over a decade crafting The Lord of the Rings, and Margaret Mitchell, who took ten years to finish Gone with the Wind. Can you imagine if they'd been forced to rush those masterpieces? Would we still treasure them the way we do today?

There's a magic that only reveals itself when something is given the time it truly needs. That's what I want for these new projects. While they're not quite finished, I'm incredibly excited about them.

Bangkok Memories: The Capture Earrings Collection

Until then, let's focus on what I'm currently coveting from our existing collection.

These Capture Earrings are the perfect embodiment of modern magic infused with wanderlust. Inspired by my years as an expat in Bangkok, quietly sitting and studying the magnificent wats with all their intricate golden details—glittering under the moon, glistening under the tropical sun. Every time I look at them, I'm instantly transported back to those magical Bangkok evenings.

These earrings represent everything I love about Thailand-inspired jewelry design:

  • Hand-forged 18k gold that captures light like temple gilding
  • Rare gemstones that shimmer with stories of distant lands
  • Architectural details inspired by sacred Thai temples
  • That perfect balance of boldness and elegance

They're ideal for summer—just bold enough to elevate a simple tee, just elegant enough to carry a flowing dress through a star-lit evening. Whether you're exploring a new city or adding magic to your everyday moments, these earrings whisper tales of adventure and wonder.

The Stories We Carry Forward

As I work slowly toward what's next, I'm reminded that the pieces already in our world carry profound stories of their own—woven from places I've loved, cultures I've studied, and dreams I've dared to follow. Each piece of handcrafted fine jewelry holds not just gemstones and gold, but the essence of the stories I have yet to tell.

And we create storytelling jewelry not just to remember our journeys, but to bring that transformative magic into the everyday moments that matter most.

Thank you for being here—for walking alongside me during these quiet creative stretches, and for celebrating the pieces that carry both cherished memories and infinite possibility.

With wanderlust & wonder,
Jocelyn
