THE
MIDDLE WAY.
THE WAY.
A POWERFUL MEDALLION.

For all those who have braved the winter in places like the NE, we are almost through to the end. I will admit I was happy to escape it.
While on vacation recently, I was eternally grateful to soak up the sunshine, but, I had a few mishaps. It made me think about all the snow I have experienced, and how I needed to temper my anger towards it. Because as we all know, we can't always get what you want(cue the Rolling Stones...) My mind immediately went to my latest collection: The Middle Way.
At its core, this collection is about equilibrium — about refusing to live in extremes. I can fixate on the endless snow. I can dwell on travel mishaps. Or I can accept that life resists fine-tuning. The good and the inconvenient coexist. The light and the storm share the same sky.The practice is not denial. It is balance. To focus on what is working, while calmly moving through what is not.To stay centered instead of reactive. To walk the middle.
This medallion from The Middle Way is my favorite piece in the entire collection. It is bold enough to be a statement, yet grounded enough for daily wear. More than adornment, it is a reminder — to anchor inward when the noise grows loud. It feels so powerful, it almost acts as a grounding mat.
LIFE IS ALL ABOUT DETAILS
If you look at the back, it looks like a beautifully carved path made from stones, and features the saying, “the way”. Oddly enough after releasing this collection, which for me a deep rooted ancient power feeling, I learned that Jesus’s early followers were known as, The Way. These early followers were not interested in religion per say, but a deep commitment to seeking truth. As humans we so often run from our true selves, but finding the true essence of of who we are, allows us to rise up as the highest versions of ourselves our revealed.

I often don’t articulate my intentions through the language of gemstones. But in this case, let me break this piece down properly.
The Way is my interpretation of the philosophy behind Yin and Yang — not as opposition, but as interdependence.
In traditional thought:
- Yin represents darkness— yet always contains a seed of light.
- Yang represents light — yet always carries a trace of shadow.
They are not adversaries. They are complementary forces that create harmony through coexistence.
In this medallion:
- Moonstone (Yang) symbolizes light — luminous, intuitive, quietly radiant. It is surrounded by black enamel, representing the presence of Yin within light.
- Blue sapphire (Yin) anchors the darker aspect. Yet because I am forever devoted to the light, I set it with pavé diamonds. Even within darkness, brilliance persists.
- The Pearls in the center represent the pureness of the path in front of us, and the beauty in the path itself. This is the unwritten story we get to write, as we choose how to move forward.
The goal of Yin / Yang, is not to eliminate one side. When Yin and Yang move in balance, harmony emerges — and that harmony is The Way.
This medallion is a reminder that the greatest power lives within the center. The center of us.
In today’s world, we need any motto, phrase, word, sage, or object to ground us. I know many of us feel surrounded by so much darkness lately, but every night the moon comes up and shines its light. And since we are ALL factually born of stars and the sky, no matter what, we are the light and we can always shine. Especially with the help of a shiny power piece such as 'The Way'.
I hope this edition, inspires you to spread your light! And if need be, wear something around your neck as a reminder to. For more on medallions and the full, pretty version of Unhada's newsletter, please sign our mailing list!
