     June 13th was when I said “I do” over 20 years ago. It was Friday the 13th and of course I wanted a magically unconventional wedding and had many vendors hang up on me when I said, “Friday the 13th.

The ceremony was supposed to be outside overlooking the Hudson and, it rained!, Everyone said it meant good luck, and so I went with it. Funny the memories our minds hold on to. One of my favorites that stand out was...shocker!, the jewels! I wore an amazing Edwardian pear aquamarine drop necklace that had the most beautiful natural pearls and diamonds, exchanged vows with a Victorian Toi Et Moi Pearl/ Diamond Ring stunner.  

I still own and love these pieces, probably even more today then I did then. When I wear them, they warm my heart and conjure a feeling of powerful magic that is almost indescribable. .

Back then wedding options were slim, but now they have exploded. I love that brides have all become so individual in their wedding day style.  

Over the last decade, Unhada has been lucky enough to partner with Watters Bridal, a company that makes the most whimsical wedding dresses.  My work has been featured in their stunning campaigns. At first I decided I wanted to get married again, so I could not only wear a Watters dress, but hunt once more for those forever treasured jewels. Then, I realized, we don’t need weddings for any of that. How old fashioned!
